Pray at the tombs of the martyrs and Saints who shaped our Catholic faith. Walk in the footsteps of the early Church and experience the richness of the Catholic Faith and Italian Culture.
Travel in a Smaller Group: Experience More!
Many trips to Rome take place in large groups that are moved around in tour buses. But we travel in a small group, enabling us to walk the beautiful streets of Rome, enter more deeply into prayer and visit many more sites not on the typical tourist itinerary.
Registration
Due to the high demand for Dr. Sri’s pilgrimages which usually sell out very quickly, reservations are granted in the order in which registrations/deposits are received.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Dr. Sri likes to keep the group small so that we can travel all together comfortably in just one bus. In the past, he's had anywhere from 30 to 45 pilgrims. There are many advantages to traveling in smaller number:
Everyone travels together
Get to know each other better
Shorter lines for bathrooms, restaurants, museums, etc.
Easier to travel
Ability to see more sites and linger more at each site
Dr. Sri can get more time with each pilgrim

Many of the holy sites in Rome are within the central historic district, where buses cannot drop us off. So, in order to see the many sites on our itinerary, this pilgrimage involves a lot of walking and standing on our feet throughout the day. Indeed, this is all part of the great tradition of pilgrimage to Rome going all the way back to the early Church, as Christians for nearly 2000 years have longed to walk the streets of Rome and literally walk in the footsteps of the Apostles Peter and Paul and the many early Christian saints, popes, and martyrs!
So, you can anticipate each day including about 5 to 8 miles of walking on uneven, cobblestone roads and oftentimes at a rather quick pace in crowded streets. Some of the sites also require many steps both up and down. We will have breaks at some of the sites where you can sit on the steps or in the church pews to catch a little break. But we wanted to make you aware of the significant amount of walking and the pace in general. Please consider this and your ability to keep up with the group pilgrims.
Pilgrims on this trip commit to keeping up with the group or using local transportation services on their own (such as Uber or taxis which some pilgrims do each year) in order to keep up with the itinerary, if necessary.

Yes, there will be a pilgrimage chaplain. He will say daily Mass for the group and will be available for confession.
-
Even though Italy and pasta go hand in hand, there are many other choices to satisfy vegan, gluten free, and dairy free diets.
